The shaped excavation just after the liner has been installed over a complete sewn sheet of protective geotextile matting.Excavated and shaped pond with protective geotextile matting in place before the liner is introduced. It doesn't look it but this pond is designed to be about 1.2m deep. The shaped dip on the right hand side of the picture is designed to hold soil for the 3.0 metres wide marginal bed.
Excavation complete and surrounding ground graded into pond rim levels.
