About these galleries

We hope the images on these pages not only provide inspiration and show what we do but also show how we go about our work, the skills we bring to bear and the bespoke nature of most of our projects. All works illustrated in these gallery pages were designed and undertaken by Naiad Pond Services unless specifically stated otherwise. All images were taken during the course of the works or afterwards on a "follow-up" site visit with the occasional image supplied by our clients (usually the better images!)
There are no bought in or stock images in these gallery pages.

  A few smaller ponds, semi-formal in nature, each designed to fit in a smaller space.

• Some larger garden ponds
  A selection of larger garden ponds - some might describe one or two as small lakes. Some of the ponds illustrated in this gallery are illustrated in other galleries in more detail.

• Creation of a large garden pond
  A series of images showing the construction of a large garden pond with "mowable" rim, wildlife-friendly soil-into-water rim and green oak jetty.

• Moving water
  A selection of images of man-made features. We also work on natural streams and rivers.

• Bespoke Water Features
  Original commissioned artwork designed and created to complement an existing piece or place.

• A further selection of smaller garden ponds
  More semi-formal smaller ponds, each designed for the smaller space.

• Large formal garden pond with floating bridge, attendant terrace, walling, courtyard and planting
  This gallery is composed of images of the project as it is drawing to a close, and some images made about five years later.

• Structures of green oak - bridges, jetties and pond rims
  We love working in green (uncured) oak. This gallery shows a few examples of our work.

• Restoration and redesign of a 120m long watercourse (in parts, probably by Percy Cane) in a Jekyll garden
  An exciting project to restore this watercourse to its former glory. This gallery shows several before and after images.

• Creation of a large garden pond on a very steep site
  A series of images showing the construction of a large garden pond designed to sit in a hillside.

• Restoration of an ancient pond to recreate an absolutely "natural" look
  To restore this farm pond and to provide excellent habitat for wildlife, we lined the chalk base and then completely covered the liner with indigenous soil.

• Restoration of an overgrown, leaking pond in clay soil
  A series of images illustrating the restoration of this neglected pond, its water control structures and rims.

• Tailored liner for repair of leaking concrete ponds
  A system we pioneered to effect the repair of leaking concrete ponds. We also use tailored liners to eliminate unsightly folds in new ponds. Liner can be tailored to fit any shape.

• Construction images of large formal garden pond with floating bridge, attendant terrace, walling, courtyard and planting
  This gallery shows the project as it is being built. The finished project images are in another gallery.

• Silt pumping and aquatic weed control
  Our silt pumping machinery is custom designed to access difficult to get at and delicate garden sites. One big advantage - the silt is moved by pipe, not wheeled or tracked vehicles.
